Tonight you rest your heavy eyes

Your love for us will always remain bright

I hope we made you feel so proud

Your loving, caring, kindness touch

Will always keep us right

You knew how much you meant to us

Enjoyed our laughs and special times

We won’t forget those special drives

From Magna Bay and every where between

We did our best to keep you comfy

Even in your last few hours

For now we say farewell

But our bond will always stay strong

Love you always Nanny,

You never receive what you can’t handle

Happy New Year

Hope this message finds you all well. Did you enjoy your holidays? Did you have to work or were you able to enjoy your time off with loved ones? Whatever you choose to do hope it will be everlasting throughout the end of one season and into another. Tell me what you were up to and if anything exciting happened during your break.

My holiday felt really up and down I had a wonderful start to the break. Everything seemed a little to good to be true as we all know how that feels. I went to the gym right up until Christmas Eve. I believe I went 6 out 7 days to finish the year. I felt really good and excited for the events leading up to Christmas and New Year. Mother nature really hit some of us harder than others during the break. Up to 20-30 cm in some parts than areas got hit with freezing rain, knocked down power lines, caused havoc all over the roads. If that wasn’t enough we also got a really cold-snap. Mother nature cold arctic hit some cities here colder than the North and South poles. Some cities here were some of the coldest temperatures they had ever reached. Even through all that plans changed, days changed, life moves forward. You find something else to plan or you just stay indoors if you have to and enjoy the time with loved ones. A few of our plans changed over the break and then….

New Years Eve we find that my grandmother is in the hospital. She was rushed into hospital around 3 a.m. from her assisted living home. Everything goes from your control to out of control and you feel like there is nothing you can do. You leave it to the higher powers and just hope for the best. She ended up getting a CT scan on her foot as her foot was cold and discolored. Thank to goodness she wasn’t in any pain but their was no blood getting to her foot. All her veins were cut-off to her right foot and the foot was basically dying. Because of her age there isn’t much they could do but admit her and give her an IV. For the most part she is pretty healthy aside from a brain injury that occurred 5 years ago. She suffers from dementia and can’t walk anymore from a deteriorating hip that was never fixed before the accident. She is tough as nails though her entire family is as well and I am assured that is where I get my toughness and strong headed-ness from haha. The doctors give her shots now everyday to control the blood flow but their isn’t much that can be done other than what they are able to do now. I spent a lot of time with my grandmother both during and after my grandfather passing away at an early age. We were both there for each other when we needed somebody the most. Obviously I was still pretty young and I may not be able to be there emotionally for my grandmother but I was there. At the same time for me I couldn’t even begin to explain the emotional damage that I was going through at that time to even explain to anybody what I was going through. But she was there for me when ever I needed her. I took the news pretty hard and could only think of the worse possible outcome. I knew it wasn’t good and the fact that the doctors had no cure just added more to her list that this beautiful lady never deserved. Nobody ever deserves much of the bad things they recieve in life but it always comes down to how you handle the situation.

The universe never gives us what we can’t handle

The good news is I believe she will be released today. The nurses at the home will contiunue to give her the shots to lower the blood count but at least she can go home. I love her with all my heart she is a second mother to me. We have shared so many great memories together. Even if it can’t be like it use to be at least I am still here for her and she is still here for me. Just like how it has always been and always will be.

Love you Nanny xoxox

A Christmas Poem

The children were filled with Christmas cheer

the lights on the houses glistened in the night

fresh crisp air of the new fallen snow

traditions were started long time ago

family’s arrived to spread holiday surprise,

with gifts in every shape and wrapping delight

colours of red, green and blue

songs of the season could be heard all along

candy and sweets left by old Saint Nick

with love and hope to all during this holiday season

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Things I am most grateful for in my life. As the year comes to an end it is a good chance for you to look back on the year. Assuming you have had good times and bad times the best thing to do is continue to look to the things in your life that your grateful for. It will not only change your emotional state but it will increasingly make you realize that we are just a small part of this world. We can all come together when we realize how fortunate we are to be able to live the life that we choose to live. We can also be one when we are all thankful for everything that our lives give to us, good and bad.

Here is a list of what I am grateful of…I would suggest you do the same by yourself or perhaps with family during this holiday season. You can each write down whatever makes you feel grateful and share it with each other. You maybe be surprised what you find out about each other.

Love always,

This is why I need you

I have too many questions, and places to go

There are too many options, far too many unknowns

This is why I need you

Everyone talks now, but no one is right

there are too many armies, with no one to fight

This is why I need you

Cause you make the darkness less dark

You make the edges less sharp

You make the winter feel warmer

You make my weakness less weak

You make the bottom less deep

You make the waiting feel shorter

You make my crazy feel normal, every time

You are the who, love is the what, and this is the why

There are too many problems, and no one who cares

There are so many roads, and they all need repairs

This is why I need you

There’s not enough chocolate, there’s too many chores

There are so many mountains, that I haven’t explored

This is why I need you

Cause you make the darkness less dark

You make the edges less sharp

You make the winter feel warmer

You make my weakness less weak

You make the bottom less deep

You make the waiting feel shorter

You make my crazy feel normal, every time

You are the who, love is the what, and this is the why

You keep the ship moving forward

You make it easy to try

You make my crazy feel normal, every time

You are the who, love is the what, and this is the why ………

Song Ballad by Jesse Ruben – This is why I need you

26 Days

The busy season is once again upon us we feel there is not enough hours in the day to get the shopping, work, activities, parties and so on done. Literally depending on where you live it may feel this way. With winter just weeks away and seeing less and less of the sun it seems like we are just running from one thing to the next. And before we know it we realize the year is coming to an end. We get so wrapped up in the moments you say to yourself where did this year go? Where did the time go? This seems to be the season of reflection and potential. New beginnings as another year comes to a close and a new one begins. So that is exactly what I am going to do.

We reflect simply because it is human nature. We all have things to accomplish day-to-day, week to week, year to year. We are all striving for something in our lives that feel bigger than us. Whether it is work related, relationships, personal or just making it in the big world. Are you doing enough to accomplish them? Maybe not but I know when you feel like you are you may not get the outcome you were looking for at the moment. Stay positive and continue to strive towards your goals. You might have to knock down 100 barriers to get you to where you want to see your life. That is simply okay. The journey is part of the path. You need to create a path of pain, sweat, tears, fear, and love in order to get to your successes in your life. You will definitely feel one, two, three, or all of those emotions in your life to get you on your rightful path. Patience is a virtue and must be also taken into account. Be more patient and your love for life and all things will grow.

100 Day Challenge

As most of you know I have been committed to myself for 100 Days to change a few things in my life. I needed a better outlook on life something to share and to heal some of the many demands in my life. I started on September 22, 2017 the start of 100 days left in 2017. Here is the list I created to help change my life and set me off on my rightful path as follows; 1.) I will look at my vision board everyday. 2.) I will create a morning ritual everyday. 3.) I will find away to give back to the community. 4.) I will join a gym in the next 100 days. 5.) I will accomplish one thing off my vision board. 6.) I will say my I am affirmations everyday. 7.) I will stop drinking.

Now I am not going to sit here and write that I accomplished everything on here. That is to easy for me to say that I did. What I will say is these were my virtues for the 100 Days that I lived by. Once I got in the routine of continuing to strive towards these virtues it became easier and easier to complete. I have been told that for most people 21 days is the mark to get to in order to start a new routine. Once you hit that 21 day mark the routine should have enough energy and momentum to make it easier to continue. For me this was definitely true. It actually felt shorter than 21 days cause I felt very determined to turn my life around. The 100 day challenge is very possible for anybody who is determined enough to change their lives. I have gone through a lot in my life and I will continue to use these virtues even after the next 26 days left of the 100.

You can change your life it just takes patience and focus. I have seen the high’s of high’s and the most very low’s. Don’t give up on yourself and try 100 day challenge the next one is right around the corner. It can most certainly change your life and give you the energy and momentum to be your true self. Isn’t that what you always wanted?! Don’t forget….
